Dr. J.G. Heighway veterinary surgeon died suddenly at 7:30 o'clock this morning of heart trouble. He has been in poor health several weeks and has been confined to the house 3 weeks. He was born in London Ontario 54 years ago. He attended the Veterinary College at Tornto and came to Ladoga in 1888 and has practiced here ever since. He was married in 1894 to Miss Lottie Fullen. To this union 4 children were born and three survive: George, a sophomore at Indiana University; Gene, Herman and Julia at home. He is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters who live in Canada. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge here. He is a brother-in-law to Dr. Charles Grantham of Crawfordsville. Dr. Heighway was very prominent in the social life of the community and had a wide circle of friends throughout the county. - kbz
